Texture Channel Packer by SQLPY

Pack and combine texture channels into a single image online, for free. Export losslessly with optimized file size.

Built for VFX workflows, this tool packs grayscale maps into R, G, B, and A channels for texture and material setup. It also works well for PBR packing, tech art, and game asset optimization.

  1. Drag and drop your individual channel images into the tool
  2. Select the desired texture parsing for each channel
  3. Choose the exported channels at the top: R, RGRGB, or RGBA.
    • R exports the red channel as a single-channel grayscale PNG
    • RG exports the red and green channels to a grayscale+alpha PNG
    • RGB/RGBA export color PNGs with or without alpha as you know them

The tool does some lossless png compression behind the scenes as well and saves the png in the smallest format. Optical grayscale uses OKLab to create a correct grayscale that matches what the eye sees.

Performance note: Very large textures can take noticeably longer to import as it has everything in memory.
